HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
VULVAL & PAEDIATRIC patients are given priority appointments
- Referrals ideally should be sent by the referring doctor using a secure messaging system. This practice uses Healthlink.
Note: Referrals sent by email are not secure. There is a risk to the privacy of your personal information. If you choose to send a referral by email, we strongly advise you to password protect the document (and then advise us of the password by phone or separate email). Otherwise sending a referral by email is at your own risk. - All referrals are triaged according to urgency.
- You will receive an SMS if we are able to offer you an appointment, with details of how to make a booking.
- You will receive written confirmation of your appointment time.
- If you wish to cancel or change an appointment time please email contact@drumderm.com.au
Please Note:
- Sending a referral does not constitute acceptance of the referral or guarantee that an appointment will be offered.
- Due to high demand it may not be possible to offer you an appointment in an appropriate time frame.
- You will be advised if we are unable to offer you an appointment, and your referral returned to your doctor.
- Please note that you are not a patient of the practice until the referral has been accepted and an appointment scheduled.
- Future booked appointments can be cancelled if our staff are treated with disrespect.
Cancellation of Appointments
If you wish to cancel your appointment, or to arrange another consultation time please email contact@drumderm.com.au
Note:
A fee (equal to the consultation fee) may be charged if you do not attend a booked and confirmed appointment, or if the appointment is cancelled with less than 2 business days’ notice, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
If you do not confirm a booked appointment, the slot may be offered to another patient.
Please refer to the Practice Policy for more information.
REFERRALS
Although the staff of Drummond Dermatology will do their best to remind patients about referrals, it is the patient’s own responsibility to ensure their referral is valid and up to date. This particularly applies to returning patients.
PRESCRIPTIONS
Repeat prescriptions without a consultation will only be issued if you have been seen in the practice within the last 12 months, and only if clinically appropriate. It may be medically necessary to review you either in person or by telehealth consultation. A script fee is usually charged.
