Our Commitment
Drummond Dermatology is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment for all patients, carers, visitors and staff.
We believe that everyone should have equitable access to high-quality specialist dermatological care, regardless of age, disability, cultural background, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, language, socioeconomic circumstances or health status.
We are committed to treating all people with dignity, courtesy and respect.
Accessibility
We aim to make our services as accessible as possible.
If you have specific access requirements, we encourage you to contact the practice before your appointment so that we can discuss how we may be able to assist.
This may include:
- Assistance for patients with mobility difficulties
- Assistance for patients with hearing impairment
- Assistance for patients with vision impairment
- Accommodating support persons, carers or guardians
- Telehealth consultations where clinically appropriate
Not all accommodations will be possible in every circumstance, but we will make reasonable efforts to meet individual needs wherever practicable.

Financial Accessibility
Drummond Dermatology recognises that healthcare costs may create barriers to accessing specialist care.
The practice supports equitable access through:
- Direct billing of eligible Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) patients
- Consideration of reduced fees for Age Pension and Disability Support Pension recipients
- Consideration of fee reductions for patients experiencing genuine financial hardship
- Acceptance of referrals from Aboriginal Health Services
- Acceptance of referrals from recognised refugee health services
Any concession arrangements remain at the discretion of Dr Catherine Drummond.
Communication Needs
Patients who have specific communication requirements are encouraged to advise the practice when making an appointment.
Where possible, we will work with patients and carers to facilitate effective communication and understanding.
Feedback
We welcome feedback regarding accessibility, inclusion and patient experience.
Suggestions for improvement may be provided to the practice at any time and will be considered as part of our ongoing quality improvement activities.
